Mark Friedenbach is a Co-founder of Blockstream. Previously, he worked as an Application Developer at NASA-Ames Research Center.
BIPs
Friedenbach has contributed code based on three Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs): BIP 68, BIP 112, and BIP 113.
BIPs 68, 112, and 113 all make improvements to the Bitcoin protocol which are required for Lightning Network.
The code for all three BIPs will be deployed on May 1, 2016.
